– After the vote on the Commission proposal:

  Jessica Polfjärd, rapporteur. – Madam President, and thank you, colleagues, it is a historic day when the European Parliament has voted in favour of science, of food safety and in support of European farmers. After decades of deadlock, we have finally taken a step towards a modern framework for regulating NGTs. And according to Rule 59(4), I request to have the file referred back to committee for interinstitutional negotiations.
