Following the Commission’s 2012 Progress Report on Albania, I request answers to the following questions:
- 1.What amount of pre-accession funding has the EU allocated for preventing, monitoring and combating corruption in Albania since 2007, and to which specific projects? Of the allocated funds, what amounts have already been committed and paid out to the recipients? What were the exact amounts co-financed by domestic authorities? For each of these questions, please provide concrete data for every project on a yearly basis, separately for each year from 2007 (included) to the present.
- 2.What amount of pre-accession funding has the EU allocated for the reform of the judicial system in Albania since 2007, and to which specific projects? Of the allocated funds, what amounts have already been committed and paid out to the recipients? What were the exact amounts co-financed by domestic authorities? For each of these questions, please provide concrete data for every project on a yearly basis, separately for each year from 2007 (included) to the present.
- 3.What effective results, added value and impact have been obtained in the fight against corruption and the reform of the judicial system through the allocation of pre-accession funds (for each project from 2007 to the present)? Please also provide information regarding the compliance of the financed projects with the eligibility rules (for each project from 2007 to the present).
- 4.How does the Commission plan to financially support the continuation of the reform of the judicial system and the fight against corruption in Albania during the budgetary period 2014-2020? Which priorities for action are currently envisaged?
