Support for Syria and its neighbours

Last week the Commission announced an increase in financial aid for Syria and its neighbours. EUR 50 million are to be allocated in humanitarian assistance to the millions of refugees and EUR 165 million to support the development of the region in the longer term. Some of the measures to be financed from these funds were specified in a press release on 23 September 2014.

As a member of the EP’s Mashreq Delegation, the author of this question welcomes these announcements very warmly and requests detailed information relating to the following questions:

What individual measures and projects are being funded or supported? What specific amounts or instalments have been set aside to fund these individual measures and projects?
