Parliamentary question - E-010528/2014(ASW)Parliamentary question
E-010528/2014(ASW)

Answer given by Ms Thyssen on behalf of the Commission

EURES facilitates intra-EU worker mobility by providing access to job vacancies available with public employment services and relevant information on working in other Member States.

Information on the nationality of employers and job seekers registering with EURES at EU level can be found on its portal: https://ec.europa.eu/eures/page/statistics?lang=en

The single market scoreboard provides information on the number of requests for information and support in each country to employers and job seekers: http://ec.europa.eu/internal_market/scoreboard/performance_by_governance_tool/eures/index_en.htm

Posting of workers takes place when a business exercising the freedom to provide services sends employees to perform work, on a temporary basis, in a Member State other than the one where the employee habitually works, to provide the service there. EURES services are not applicable to posted workers, as it holds as a prerequisite that a recruited worker will be employed by the business offering the vacancy in the relevant Member State.
