E-008635-15
Question for written answer E-008635-15
to the Commission
Rule 130
Claudia Tapardel (S&D)

Subject:  Integrated approach to cultural heritage in Europe
 Answer in writing

On 22 July 2014 the Commission adopted its communication ‘Towards an integrated approach to cultural heritage for Europe’, in which it calls for the mainstreaming of cultural heritage throughout the wide range of EU policies.

What concrete actions has the Commission taken so far to implement this communication?

Has it introduced, or does it intend to introduce, a new coordination mechanism among the different Directorates-General to this effect?

Is it considering introducing an impact assessment on cultural heritage, similar to the environmental impact assessment, to ensure that different EU actions and policies do not adversely impact cultural heritage?
