E-013096/2015(ASW)
Answer given by Mr Arias Cañete on behalf of the Commission
Question reference: E-013096/2015

The Commission would remind the Honourable Member that spatial planning is primarily a competence of the Member States. In exercising this competence, Member States have to comply with EC law. It is for the Spanish authorities, at whatever is the appropriate level, to decide what is the best possible spatial planning solution for installations, whether they be for LNG or not.

As regards the specific situation of the Reganosa Gas plant in the Ferrol estuary, the Commission refers to the replies given to Written Questions 007886/13 and 007654/14(1).
