Panama's tax agreements with EU Member States

Question for written answer E-001558-16
to the Commission
Rule 130
Fabio De Masi (GUE/NGL)

Given Panama’s notorious track record as regards anonymous bearer-share companies, which are often used to launder money from criminal activities, can the Commission state how many, and which, EU Member States have double taxation agreements with Panama, and whether Panama has signed any agreements to exchange tax information with EU Member States.

Does the Commission plan to recommend punitive actions against countries such as Panama, which object to implementing the OECD’s Common Reporting Standard, in its work on a new list of non-cooperative jurisdictions?
