E-004821-16
Question for written answer E-004821-16
to the Commission
Rule 130
Daniel Dalton (ECR)

Subject:  OLAF's powers to investigate the use of European aid in non-EU countries
 Answer in writing

I recently received an email from a constituent concerned about the improper use of European aid in non-EU countries.

In 2013, OLAF signed an Administrative Cooperation Arrangement with the President of the Palestinian Anti-Corruption Commission, a positive step in ensuring that EU aid is used effectively.

What is OLAF doing to prevent fraudulent use of European aid?

What powers does OLAF have to look into corruption and fraud in non-EU states?

Have any further investigations been carried out by the Commission or OLAF into wasted EU funding since 2013?
