Following the recent statements by Turkish officials that their country will unilaterally stop implementing the EU‐Turkey statement on refugees and will flood Europe with illegal immigrants, the Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, today surpassed any limits by, this time, openly threatening all European citizens. Specifically, President Erdogan, referring to Europe's attitude towards Turkey, said that if Europe continues in this way, no European, in any part of the world, will be able to walk safely on the road.
Given that this serious and deliberate threat against Europe by the Turkish President defies any precedent and now turns directly against the security of the whole of Europe and its citizens, will the Commission say:
How will it respond to the above statement by President Erdogan, which constitutes a straight-forward terrorist threat against European citizens and their rights?
