The WTO has ruled that the EU has no right to ban US hormone beef from European markets. This means that legally, as long as the EU continues to ban US hormone beef, the USA can in retaliation impose trade barriers on EU products.

Is it legally possible that, after a complaint by a third country such as Canada or the USA, the WTO may rule that the EU has no right to ban US or Canadian GMO food from European markets?
