Question for written answer E-000850-19
to the Commission
Rule 130
Vilija Blinkevičiūtė (S&D)

Subject:  Creating an EU student card
 Answer in writing

Students in the Member States often encounter problems when a student card issued in one Member State is not recognised in another.

Does the Commission not feel that the Member States’ higher education institutions should issue uniform student cards that would be recognised in all Member States, with a view to ensuring equal rights and opportunities for students throughout the EU?
