Question for written answer E-002779-19
to the Commission
Rule 138
Moritz Körner (Renew)

According to Hessen’s Data Protection and Freedom of Information Officer, data protection laws do not allow for the use of Microsoft Office 365 in schools to the extent that schools store personal data in the European cloud.[1] Does the Commission share this view?

Does the Commission take the view that the use of Facebook and Instagram on school PCs is compatible with data protection laws?
