Linking Greek vocational education and European institutions

Question for written answer E-003155-19
to the Commission
Rule 138
Theodoros Zagorakis (PPE)

Vocational education and training (VET) plays a key role in allowing people to continue lifelong learning, providing young people with the initial qualifications needed for a smooth transition into the labour market and adults with the means to continuously update and improve their professional qualifications.

In the context of the development of this specific sector, in 2016 the European Vocational Skills Week was established, offering people of all ages an excellent opportunity to develop their qualifications, prepare for jobs and improve their marketability.

In view of this:

Does the Commission intend to broaden the activities of the European Vocational Skills Week by introducing activities linking vocational education with the European labour market?
