ECIPES programme
22.1.2020
Question for written answer E-000359/2020
to the Commission
Rule 138
Marian-Jean Marinescu (PPE)
Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova, three of the six EU Eastern Partnership countries, are in need of additional incentives from the European Union to maintain their European course. However the citizens of these countries have not felt the benefits of European funding, the state bodies administering it having faced allegations of corruption on more than one occasion.
- 1.Is the Commission aware of the ECIPES (European Cohesion by Individual, Public and Entrepreneurs Support) programme, which is being targeted directly at the citizens of the Eastern Partnership countries?
- 2.Would the Commission be willing to fund the scheme over the 2021-2022 period and, if so, under which budget heading?
