Question for written answer
to the Commission
Rule 138
Ulrike Müller
 Answer in writing
Subject: Support for mountain farmers in the EU

Is there a uniform EU definition of the term ‘eligible areas’?

Is it possible that Member States employ differing criteria (number of metres above sea level) in connection with the granting of support to mountain farmers?

Does the definition of ‘lessfavoured areas’ differ from that of ‘eligible areas’?
