 Subject: The Commission’s request to video-streaming companies

Following a discussion with Commissioner Thierry Breton, streaming service providers took steps to reduce service quality in order to avoid network congestion.

1. Can the Commission reveal the data it had at its disposal that led it to limit traffic so swiftly?

2. Could this data be made available to the public?
