Rule 138
Bettina Vollath, Birgit Sippel
The EU-Afghanistan Joint Way Forward on migration issues was negotiated in 2016 with no official participation by Parliament and formally has no legal force. Parliament is, however, responsible for budgetary matters.
- 1.Was the new airport terminal for returns in Kabul paid for by the EU? If so, Is the budget for the terminal included in the annual budget of the JWF, or was it an extra expense? How much did the terminal cost, and how much of this was paid by the EU?
- 2.How many returns were there from Europe to Afghanistan under the JWF since its first application until March 2020?
- 3.Is there a follow-up from the Commission on the board and lodging and the reintegration of the people who have been returned?
