The airlift of medical equipment to the Democratic Republic of Congo that took place on 8 June 2020 consisted in three flights and 40 tons of equipment. The resources for this came entirely from the Civil Protection Mechanism. Alongside EU Commissioner Lenarcic, the Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Philippe Goffin, and the French Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jean-Yves Le Drian, also played an active role.
