E-003533/2020(ASW)
Answer given by Ms Johansson
on behalf of the European Commission
Question reference: E-003533/2020

The public procurements referred to by the Honourable Member have been carried out by European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) and by the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (Frontex) respectively.

The Commission notes that both Union agencies are bound to comply with the provisions on procurement laid down in the financial rules applicable to the general budget of the Union(1).

As far as the Commission is aware, they do not have a specific procedure to certify the origin of the materials procured.
