Question for written answer E-003757/2020
to the Commission
Rule 138
Bernhard Zimniok (ID)
 Answer in writing
 Subject: The facts used to calculate needs in order to tailor ALL of the EU’s COVID-19 aid interventions, both completed and planned, to a list of non-EU-states

I am interested in knowing the basis and facts the Commission has used to estimate the support that was and will be provided this year by the EU to a specific list of third countries/areas as a result of the Wuhan COVID-19 virus. This request includes, but is not limited to, the interventions under the ‘EU’s global coronavirus response’, and pertains to any other intervention implemented by the EU prior to or alongside the EU’s global coronavirus response. The nations and areas I am interested in receiving this information about are as follows:

Lebanon, Palestine, the West Bank/Gaza, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Kashmir, Pakistan, India and Turkey.

I kindly request a complete file showing:

1. The information the Commission gathered from sources in the respective nations and areas used in order to establish these facts;

2. How this was subsequently used to calculate and plan for the implementation of all of the Wuhan COVID-19 pandemic interventions funded by the EU;

3. A full list of who implemented all of the actions within each of the separate interventions for each of the nations and areas.
