    Despite the many plans and specific policies launched by the EU to help attract young people to farming, an important activity in the EU, and to keep young farmers on the land, the contraction of the agricultural sector is causing huge problems for the EU’s economy and other problems of a social nature.

    A strong and competitive rural economy will contribute significantly to growth in EU Member States and the prosperity of their peoples.
