to the Commission
Rule 138
Joanna Kopcińska (ECR)
Everyone is agreed on the need to achieve a more sustainable food production system established in accordance with the rules applying to agricultural holdings. Before taking any legislative action, the Commission carries out a comprehensive impact assessment to ensure that the objectives of the ‘Farm to Fork’ strategy concerning pesticides, fertilisers and organic farming are realistic and feasible. This process has attracted many comments, including questions about why the order has been reversed, with the objectives being announced before they have been checked in the context of an impact assessment.
Can the Commission explain this impact assessment mechanism in relation to the ‘Farm to Fork’ strategy?
