E-004612/2020
Question for written answer E-004612/2020
to the Commission
Rule 138
Roman Haider (ID), Georg Mayer (ID)
 Subject: Pre-accession aid for Turkey

In reply to question E-004234/2019, Commissioner Olivér Várhelyi indicated that pre-accession aid to Turkey had been cut. However, in view of the major acts of provocation recently orchestrated by the Turkish Government against Greece and Cyprus, both of which are EU Member States, coupled with its aggressive stance towards the EU in general, it is totally incomprehensible that it should be receiving any EU aid at all.

1. How much pre-accession funding was granted in 2019?

2. What amount has been earmarked for pre-accession funding under the 2020 budget?

3. When will pre-accession funding for Turkey finally be ended?
