to the Commission
Rule 138
Clare Daly (GUE/NGL)
On 27 September 2018, the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) leased through the Portuguese company CEiiA two Hermes 900 drones, manufactured by Israel’s largest military company Elbit Systems, under a contract worth EUR 59 million. The duration of the EMSA contract with CEiiA was for 24 months with the possibility of renewal twice for a period of 12 months under the same conditions.
- 1.Can the Commission provide information about the status of the EMSA contract with CEiiA for the services based on the Hermes 900 RPAS, manufactured by Elbit Systems? Was the contract extended?
- 2.If not, why not? If so, what kind of services are covered and for what length of time?
