The proposal referred to by the Honourable Member is being discussed within the Council. The Council is not in a position to foresee the outcome or the duration of the discussions.
The Council took note of a progress report[1] on 3 December 2018. Transport ministers were informed of the state of play regarding the work in the Council[2] on 6 June 2019.
Regarding the Honourable Member's second question, g iven that the proposal is not accompanied by an impact assessment, several delegations encouraged the Commission to carry out a detailed impact assessment which could help Member States take a well-informed decision .
Regarding the Honourable Member's third question, the Council does not collect or hold information about the official decisions taken by the Member States regarding time zones.
