One of the objectives of EUBAM Libya is to combat terrorism and organised crime. EU Member State police forces have assisted the Libyan authorities in setting up a ‘National Counter-Terrorism Team’ and procuring equipment. Support has also been provided for a ‘Crime Prevention Unit’.
- 1.What steps has EUBAM Libya taken to support the Libyan authorities in the fight against terrorism, organised crime and cybercrime?
- 2.What equipment has been procured and how has EUBAM Libya helped with that process?
- 3.Which Libyan ministries are responsible for the ‘National Counter-Terrorism Team’, the ‘Crime Prevention Unit’ and the ‘Cybercrime Centre’ in Tripoli, and can these bodies be described as intelligence agencies?
