Frontex is currently drawing up technical specifications for all the different automatic systems and biometric devices used in the monitoring of land, air and sea borders for the purposes of the new ‘European Travel Information and Authorisation System’ (ETIAS) and the ‘Entry/Exit System’ (EES). It is also offering training sessions.

• 1.Which Commission services or agencies are currently drafting technical specifications for the new ETIAS and EES border control systems and when are they expected to be available?
• 2.Which companies or organisations are involved and what are the costs?
• 3.Which Member States have already participated in Frontex operational ETIAS and EES automated border control tests or trials or are planning to do so?
