Filip De Man (ID)
Subject: Visit to Turkey on 6 April 2021

On 6 April 2021, the Commission President, accompanied by the European Council President, visited Turkish President Erdoğan.

1. Why does the Commission consider it appropriate to honour Erdoğan with a visit, given that he has repeatedly blackmailed and humiliated the European Union and repeatedly authorised operations which have violated Greece’s borders and therefore the external border of the EU?

2. What measures will the Commission take to address the influence exerted in the EU by Turkey and Muslim Brother Erdoğan?
