On 11 March 2021 the European Parliament called on the European External Action Service (EEAS) to use all means of influence at its disposal with regard to the deplorable human rights situation in Bahrain. Vice-President / High Representative Borrell had also committed to raising the cases of Hassan Mushaima and Abduljalil al-Singace in the human rights dialogue of February 2021.

Given the recent deterioration in the situation in Bahrain, can Vice-President / High Representative Borrell comment on what concrete actions the EU will take against those responsible for such grave human rights abuses, including those responsible for the detention of Hassan Mushaima and Abduljalil al-Singace?
