 Subject: Extension of the expiry date for Pfizer vaccines

The European Medicines Agency has extended the expiry date for Pfizer vaccines.

1. On the basis of what criteria and studies, conducted by which experts, was that extension endorsed?

2. What is the Commission’s view on this extension and how was it involved in it?

3. How is it possible for such a product, for which the special storage conditions and expiry date were already established, to have its expiry date extended?
