Rising energy and food prices mean that more and more families are struggling to make ends meet financially. More and more families are at risk of poverty and, for the first time, are being forced to turn to food banks in order to provide for their basic needs.

Would it possible for the Commission, using funds available under the ESF+ instrument, to release additional funds specifically to meet this growing need for food aid?
