For decades now, the problem of forced labour and child labour has been increasing in scope. Promoting decent working conditions worldwide is a priority for the EU and indeed an obligation.

A proposal for a regulation has now been tabled in a bid to ban the movement of goods produced by forced labour, including child labour.

However, there are also a number of practical aspects to be considered.

In view of this:

• 1.Can the Commission say what measures it is taking to prevent such things from occurring?
• 2.Can it say how exactly the goods in question will be identified?
