In question P-000901/2023, submitted on 17 March 2023, we informed the Commission of the intention of the PP and Vox parliamentary groups in Andalusia to table a proposal for legislation in the Andalusian Parliament to regularise some 750 hectares of irrigated land in the Doñana National Park. In its answer dated 20 April 2023, the Commission warned that the legislative proposal could, if passed, contravene the applicable EU environmental legislation. The Commission also said that it would consider using all the means available to ensure that the judgment of the Court of Justice of the EU in Case C-559/19 is effectively enforced.
Given that the Andalusian Parliament passed the proposed legislation on 12 April 2023:

- 2.What specific steps is the Commission considering to protect biodiversity in Doñana?
