The Commission is planning a pilot project on bilateral data exchange with the US in the area of justice and home affairs (JHA), including border management, and is developing a concept for it. Implementation is then to be trialled by individual Member States.
- 1.Where did the initiative come from for a concept for bilateral data exchange with the US in the JHA field, including border protection, and when was that decision taken?
- 2.What types of data are to be exchanged in the process and, as things stand, which Member States intend to test this out?
- 3.What is the timetable for presenting the concept, for it to be trialled by individual Member States and for a report to be submitted to the Council’s IXIM working party?
