Question for written answer E-002826/2023
to the Commission
Rule 138
Moritz Körner (Renew)
In November 2020, the Commission adopted its LGBTIQ Equality Strategy 2020-2025. In the Strategy, it stated that ‘EU funds need to contribute to building a non-discriminatory society and back the Commission’s efforts to ensure a Union of Equality’. In April 2023, the Commission published its progress report on the implementation of the LGBTIQ Equality Strategy 2020-2025.
- 1.Can the Commission give details of the amounts of EU funding that contributed to the equality of LGBTIQ people, broken down by programme (where eligible) and by year (from November 2020 to February 2023)?
- 2.Can the Commission identify the differences in the amounts of EU funding used for the equality of LGBTIQ people before and since the adoption of the LGBTIQ Equality Strategy (e.g. difference between the multiannual financial frameworks for 2014-2020 and 2021-2027)?
- 3.In which programmes does the Commission see unused potential for contributions to the equality of LGBTIQ people (e.g. few grant applications for LGBTIQ projects under a programme, general low absorption rate of a programme), and how does it aim to ensure that this potential is used?
