As is well known, the European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO) is investigating the Commission President as a result of the COVID-19 vaccine deals she struck by text message with Albert Bourla. The deals, which date back to the spring of 2021, were in excess of EUR 35 billion. The Commission President is being investigated on suspicion of a conflict of interests, breach of trust and corruption, inter alia.

Have the text messages deleted by Commission President Ursula von der Leyen since been restored and handed over to the public prosecutor’s office?
