24.4.2024
Question for written answer E-001235/2024
to the Commission
Rule 138
Gabriele Bischoff (S&D)
According to the Letta report commissioned by the European Commission, businesses engaging in cross-border activities in the single market face particular challenges, such as differing regulations and administrative procedures. However, these difficulties affect not only businesses, but also, in particular, mobile and posted workers. While businesses can rely on wide-ranging and comprehensive support, such as the Points of Single Contact or the Enterprise Europe Network, similar support is not available for workers.
- 1.What advisory and support services for businesses engaging in cross-border activities have already been created, on the basis of which EU legal acts, on which topics and in what format (website, telephone/online, in person)?
- 2.What are the requirements for Member States to set up advisory and support services for businesses, on the basis of which EU legal acts, on which topics and in what format (website, telephone/online, presence) and how are these services coordinated?
- 3.What resources are being made available from the Union budget to set up such advisory and support services, how much is being made available and from which budget line and during what periods?
