Agriculture and the future 'EU 2020' Strategy

The European Commission has recently launched a public consultation on the future 'EU 2020' Strategy with a view to designing the successor to the current Lisbon Strategy and to deciding on a new approach to overcome the economic crisis. Despite the significance of agriculture and the food supply chain in the European economy and their contribution to employment, the Commission document (COM(2009)0647 of 24 November 2009) does not cite this sector once. Does the Commission intend to include the role of the CAP in its European strategy for getting out of the crisis?
