Following the doubts raised by some Member States, and the formal objections made by others during the Home Affairs Council on 22 September 2011, over the entry of Bulgaria and Romania into the Schengen Area, can the Council state what it will do next and what strategy it will adopt on this matter?
Can the Council confirm that it will encourage the use of all necessary measures to ensure that the external borders are strengthened as efficiently and securely as possible? Can it explain how it intends to do this?
