The COVID-19 pandemic has caused unprecedented disruption to education and training throughout the European Union. Education and training institutions across the Member States had to close, exams were cancelled and millions of learners had to switch suddenly to online or distance learning.
- 1.What is the Commission’s assessment of the impact of the crisis on institutions, their staff and learners?
- 2.What lessons have been learnt from the overnight shift to mass digital learning?
- 3.What education policy priorities have been identified in response to the situation over the last six months to make our education and training systems more inclusive and more resilient?
- 4.How does the Commission intend to incorporate the lessons learnt into the upgraded Digital Education Action Plan and the European Education Area?
- 5.What is the Commission’s long-term vision for EU education policy?
