- 1.Does the Commission intend to implement further measures to counter Russia’s propaganda and disinformation campaign? Will these measures consistently respect the principle of subsidiarity in the field of media policy as well as the dual character of media as an economic and cultural good? What policy measures can be applied at EU and national level to counter these attacks and neutralise the potentially adverse effects on the EU, with particular regard to the vulnerability of certain groups, such as young people?
- 2.Beyond the previously announced policy measures (Creative Europe, the ‘Creatives Unite’ platform and the EU Civil Protection Mechanism), is the Commission exploring or planning to mobilise further resources and take additional policy measures to assist cultural and creative sectors and professionals in Ukraine, as well as those working with Ukraine from within the EU? Are there clear and easily accessible support schemes in place? Is it planning to assist in the reconstruction and recovery of Ukraine’s cultural and architectural heritage?
- 3.How will the Commission mainstream culture across all policy fields with a view to building a resilient European cultural space? Could it explore the possibility of establishing an EU emergency response and recovery mechanism dedicated specifically to culture, cultural heritage and creative ecosystems, based on a multi-stakeholder approach?
