P-002534-18
Question for written answer P-002534-18
to the Commission
Rule 130
David Campbell Bannerman (ECR)

Subject:  Delay in the Commission issuing judgment
 Answer in writing

This question concerns a matter relating to the accountability of the Commission and the integrity and transparency of its decision-making process. In March 2015, the Commission informed Bulgarian Energy Holding (BEH) that in its opinion the company was breaking EC law by excluding competitors from key natural gas infrastructure.

Can the Commission please indicate: why it has not issued its final adjudication in this case; whether actions by the Bulgarian authorities have delayed concluding this case; whether there has been any contact between political leaders in Bulgaria and any member of the Commission on this case, and if so the detail of such contacts; and when the Commission intends to close this case?
