P-002541/2020/rev.1
Priority question for written answer
to the Commission
Rule 138
Adam Bielan, Beata Mazurek
 Answer in writing
Subject: Joint roadmap for recovery following the COVID-19 outbreak

Following the COVID-19 crisis there is a pressing need for a comprehensive recovery plan that challenges the fundamental assumptions underlying Europe’s economic capacity and future direction. Together with Charles Michel President of the European Council, the Commission set out a roadmap for recovery on 23 April, which is largely a continuation of the Commission’s Political Guidelines of 2019.

1. Can the Commission outline in specific terms how changes in underlying economic assumptions have been taken into account, and how they have altered or amended its political priorities?

2. Are there measures planned under the Green Deal or the Digital Agenda for Europe which the Commission now considers no longer economically justifiable?

3. Are other measures for the single market, such as for non-digital services, being re-prioritised in view of the new economic conditions?
