 Subject: PCR (polymerase chain reaction) tests

1. Could the Commission please describe the rates of false positives and false negatives for the qRT-PCR (quantitative reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction) tests in the different Member States? What does that mean for the population in terms of controlling the spread of COVID-19?

2. Could the Commission please describe the cross‑platform comparisons of the RT-PCR (reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction) tests being used in the Member States, including the target genes used and the comparison of sensitivities?
