Priority question for written answer  P-006420/2020
to the Commission
Rule 138
Mario Furore (NI)
Subject: Request to postpone calls for tender/proposals due to COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic in Europe is still causing serious difficulties for our citizens and our economy. In Italy, the main regions are undergoing a second lockdown, which once again concerns commercial and professional activities, thereby limiting opportunities to access EU programmes. We need to contain the spread of the epidemic, but we also need to address the difficulties encountered in the conduction of normal business, in particular those relating to participation in tendering procedures and calls for proposals managed by the Commission.

Does the Commission not think it might be appropriate to postpone the deadlines for calls, as it did in spring this year?
