Poland has not yet paid the EU fine for failing to stop the mining at Turów. The mechanism for recovering EU fines from the Member States resides in the active role of the Commission.

• 1.Given that it is responsible for the enforcement of penalties, and assuming it has not already done so, when can we expect the Commission to issue a debit note for the collection of this fine?
• 2.If the fine is not paid on time, will the Commission deduct the equivalent amount from the disbursement of EU funds for Poland?
• 3.Does the Commission have any other mechanisms at its disposal to ensure that the court’s order is complied with?
