3. Order of business
The final draft agenda for the plenary sitting of January II 2025 (PE 768.986/PDOJ) had been made available to Members. No changes had been proposed.
The order of business was thus established.
4. Formal sitting – International Holocaust Remembrance Day
A formal sitting of Parliament was held to mark the International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust.
The President made an address to open the ceremony.
Sam Lucas, on the cello, and Sadie Fields, on the violin, played Duo for violin and cello – II. Andante, a piece by cellist, composer and Holocaust victim Pál Hermann.
Corrie Hermann, Pál Hermann’s daughter, made an address.
Parliament observed a minute’s silence in memory of the victims of the Holocaust.
(The President spoke to exclude Grzegorz Braun from the Chamber under Rule 182.)
Sam Lucas and Sadie Fields played Kaddish by Maurice Ravel.
5. Approval of the minutes of the sitting
In accordance with Rule 202(3), the minutes of the sitting would be put to the House for approval at the beginning of the afternoon of the next sitting.
