3. Agenda

The President announced that adverse weather conditions in central Europe had prevented Viktor Yushchenko, President of Ukraine, from coming to Brussels that day.

The formal sitting was therefore cancelled.


4. Statement by the President

The President made a statement commemorating the 60th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp.

Parliament observed a minute's silence in memory of the victims.
