H.whereas in the current situation of enormous currency flows on the global market, owing to the multiplicity of financial transfers and the ever-changing nature of the economy it is very difficult and complex to identify and tackle unlawful practices in respect of those transfers, such as laundering of the illicit proceeds of tax and customs fraud, corruption, and the activities of organised crime and mafias, including trafficking in drugs, arms and human beings, and financing through extortion, including the so-called revolutionary tax;’
