8. Membership of Parliament
Antonio De Poli had given notice of his election as a member of the Veneto Regional Council.
Since, pursuant to Rule 4(4) of its Rules of Procedure and Article 7(3) of the Act concerning the election of representatives of the European Parliament by direct universal suffrage, this office was incompatible with that of Member of the European Parliament, Parliament established that the vacancy would take effect from 16.05.2005 and informed the Member State concerned thereof.
